Dear Captain John, March 1, 2009
I am applying to the Corps of ReDiscovery 2009. I have many qualities that, I believe, will make me a valuable asset to the team. Firstly, I love to cook and can cook very efficiently. This will come in handy because, while on the expedition, it is absolutely necessary to have a steady, reliable, and fast cook. Also, I have a lot of energy that I can channel to whatever necessary, which is important because I will not tire out quickly. Also, I am very optimistic, and can cheer up any crew member. I am very good with children and have to ability to communicate with them effectively, which is a valuable skill. Lastly, I am very skilled at taking action photograph, as seen above.
My endeavor is to find as many different fashion styles as possible and document them in a journal. I believe that you can tell a lot about people just from what there culture wears. Also, I hope to find as many recipes as possibly possible. I want to be able to come back from the expedition and share what I learned with all my friends and family in a way everyone will enjoy: food.
Thanks so much!
-Marandah
