Dear Captain John, March 1, 2009
I am applying to the Corps of ReDiscovery 2009. I have many qualities that, I believe, will make me a valuable asset to the team. Firstly, I love to cook and can cook very efficiently. This will come in handy because, while on the expedition, it is absolutely necessary to have a steady, reliable, and fast cook. Also, I have a lot of energy that I can channel to whatever necessary, which is important because I will not tire out quickly. Also, I am very optimistic, and can cheer up any crew member. I am very good with children and have to ability to communicate with them effectively, which is a valuable skill. Lastly, I am very skilled at taking action photograph, as seen above.
My endeavor is to find as many different fashion styles as possible and document them in a journal. I believe that you can tell a lot about people just from what there culture wears. Also, I hope to find as many recipes as possibly possible. I want to be able to come back from the expedition and share what I learned with all my friends and family in a way everyone will enjoy: food.
Thanks so much!

Perfect, Marandah
Dear Marandah,
Fun photos to get me started.
Good cook...energetic...good with children...good photographer....
Endeavors to find fashion variety...to do journal sketches...to collect recipes...to learn local how to prepare local cuisine....
You are going to have an awesome time on this journey. Your biggest problem is going to be deciding whether to lift the camera, the paintbrush or the cooking spoon.
Let's go west.
